The MTA Competency surveys were designed to measure the effectiveness of the Summer Institute in providing participants with targeted skills.  Participants were asked to rate themselves on their familiarity with the Maryland Teacher Technology Standards, leadership and professional development skills, and skills for effective instruction.   This evaluation was conducted by administering Pre- and Post- Institute surveys as part of a formative evaluation plan to provide feedback to the program implementers.

 Pre-Post Competency Survey 2000
Participants in the Maryland Technology Academy (MTA) Summer Leadership Institute were asked to assess themselves in a variety of competencies.  Participants were asked to assess themselves prior to the Institute and again after the three-week Institute.  An average of the responses were calculated for each competency.
