Socrates put
it directly to the point with the statement "Know thyself."
If we are to be "magnificent minds" ourselves, then it is a requirement
to understand not only the qualities of great thinking but the qualities
that we, as individuals, possess as thinkers.
We begin by considering
what you already understand and know. Please answer the following
questions as completely and honestly as possible. There are no right/wrong
answers at this point so feel confident in developing your responses.
1. Define,
in your own words, intelligence.
2. What
does it mean to be a great thinker? Are there specific qualities
or accomplishments that are required? What does the mind do to make
it unique?
